I would imagine the coverage has given Yorkshire tourism a massive boost, just as it did for Corsica last year, there was some stunning scenery on display.
The knock-on effects for the relevant areas are massive when the Tour comes to town, which is why so many mayors etc do their utmost to get a stage to start/finish in their area.

There are some lovely little valleys just inland with villages such as Grosmont and Lealholme and we often go for a spin up there as we can be there in about 40 mins.
