Adverts On Ab

Are some of the spaces on the AB page reserved to advertise things only relevant to each individual person? I ask because although there are lots of ads I think we all see I get some that are specific to things I've recently searched for, especially in the long space under the latest posts box which I assume the rest of you aren't getting?

Looks like it, I looked at cars earlier and that space is now full of car ads!

I often find that adverts relate to topics in the threads being displayed - not to me personally.

I've got Global Marketing, and some dating advert, at the moment.

I've seen that boxy but not what I meant. It's like Baldric said, quite separately from AB I've been looking at something specific and then it's on here and I assume the rest of you don't see it - so presumably we have our own advert space.

Yes, i've been looking for winter boots on Ebay recently and most of the adds I see are to do with that search. I actually find it quite annoying.

I keep getting ads for Summerhouses and Wedding Planners !!

Haven't searched for either of these things.

This what companies like Google do.

Google keep track of what you search for, what web sites you visit, what products you are looking for and so on, to build up a profile of you.

They then push these adverts on web sites you visit.

So adverts you see on places like AB may well be targeted at you.
