Morning all from a very blustery, albeit dry for now, NW Wales. Torrential downpours last night between 7 and 9 left our road looking more like a river - must have a word with my FIL to see how the ark is coming along!

Morning Welshy xxx

It's teeming down nicely here. Don't know how long it's been doing that.
It's too dark to see the state of the road:-)

Glad to see someone having a dry spell. Forecast for this area says it's going to be a bit better over the next couple of days and may even see a touch of summer next week.
hello alba.
have a great day

Apologies for my bad manners Excel - good morning.

Morning sweetpea - i'm still hoping that whatever is anchoring Anglesey down continues to do it's job! The rain last night was bouncing back off the road a good foot and a half, still, look on the bright side, it did clean my windscreen!
none required, welsh.
seems like you could do with a good pair of gills.
The weather peeps say it's going to be Tuesday before we get a glimpse of Summer. Hope they're right.

Sweetcheeks, we watched Four Rooms when we returned from shopping yesterday and someone was selling a mummified mermaid!!

They'll be remaking that TV series and renaming it Man From Anglesey (as opposed to Atlantis) Tescos (other supermarkets are available) had run out of flippers and snorkels when I called in yesterday evening on my way home from work!

Damn - I was going to go to Iceland to see if they had any but as the council are resurfacing the roads close by, I couldn't find anywhere to park.
Part of our High Street is Closed for 4 weeks, don't know why, we're seldom at that end of town, but a sign got me thinking.
Road Closed beyond '**** Square', which is fine if you're local to the area and know which end of the square, but useless if you're a visitor.
Morning! We have had plenty of rain during the night but all now appears, serene and dry. Hopefully it will stay that way al least until i get the dog walked.
morning everyone,a bit damp here too?

They've been doing up Bangor High Street and immdeiate area for a while now to try and improve the look of the place. Great, love the idea but would love it more if they actually had new shops opening and not closing. I'm not knocking them, but do we really need a charity shop every few shops?

Morning spotit and slinky - whereabouts in this mad world are you?
ah! spotit3. got your request for pic .... do you want 'cliffie' young or recent?

hello slinky, have a good day
i'm in glasgow
Morning Spot x Murphy's law says it will rain on your return journey. Well, it works like that for me:-D

Morning Kate x All's well I hope.

Some of our empty shops have colourful 'posters' suggesting what the shops could be used for, funnily enough, they were used for those reasons before the out of town places sprung up and those same shops moved out of town.
Question Author
Slinky - not far fom Alba, then.
Just along the road sweetcheeks :-D

Seriously, we kinda know where each lives, on one of many rare visits to Braehead we may even have been in the same shop and didn't know it!!
Question Author
I know it's not going to happen but I would like to see the High Street how it used to be back in the 70s before 'out of town' became the norm. I remember walking down Bangor High St back in 1973 when I first arrived in NW Wales and you couldn't move for people. The only people you see now are either chuggers or selling Big Issue!!
