In due course. We're still working on it.
Are the rules going to be rewritten to ensure that the usage of 'emojis' does not border on bullying
No.

The Site Rules already cover objectionable content as well as harassment and bullying.
hmmmmm
Dear Ed, are you actually suggesting you have a tech team or person that knows what they’re doing.

You should post it in jokes ;-)
Please, no bullying, Arksided. ;)
I’ll be gentle as always ;-)

Thank you for answering the question, ED. I'd almost given up hope.

Do you think you would ever consider a PM facility and / or a blocking facility or not?

Back to emoji's - they are useful in conveying sentiment to save the written word being taken in a manner other than which is was intended due to absence of body language and tone of voice.

The AnswerBank isn't structured in a way that blocking users would be feasible. Regarding private messages, I think there's enough trouble already that happens in public view. 😉

When I clicked on the emoji drop down and then on the emoji search box, the emoji and the keyboard flickered at an alarming rate. That happened on Chrome, Opera and Samsung Internet.

If folk have photosensitive epilepsy, it could be a trigger.

Well done ED, these emojis will be very very handy for me thank you.

Same as TCL and it wouldn't stop!

All I can think is that we have some on here who struggle with simple English composed of 26 letters,  giving them emojis... The possibilities are just a little worrying...

let's see, with Firefox 🙄

I posted //this// on a tandem thread LadyCG. It may settle here. The italics option is bob on. It will also c&p the text faithfuly across sites

//It is a developement that will mean more to the younger posters I suppose but the execution is a bit clunky and the emoji library is a bit cramped. If you are using a windows operating system you probably already know about the mouse right click( or windows key with.[full stop] ) If you use this option in the answer box it brings up you full operating system emoji library, which is easier to navigate and much quicker to search and choose from.  👌//
