The role of the AnswerBank Editor is to maintain the quality of the website content. It is not to get involved in personal disputes between users. The harassment and bullying occurring on the site is now affecting the quality of the website.

The sly digs and conversations full of insinuations are being dragged across different threads and categories. It's making the site unpleasant.

Regular and well-established members should know better. It's a shame that those involved are regular and longstanding.

We're implementing a zero-tolerance stance when it comes to this now.

Moderators, please suspend well-established users if they involve themselves with this ongoing drama. If we feel the suspension is justified then we will leave it in place indefinitely.

When I joined there were interesting posts. News could be discussed and for us living alone in a new town CB was fun for a bit of banter.
That changed and things got personal on almost every thread.
That needs sorting for the good of the site even if it means ditching some long time members.

This is an anonymous inter web site - why the hell are people feeling bullied and harassed by people they don’t know and will never meet.

There’s a number of people on this site who I think are absolute dribbling pillocks. I firmly believe there’s loads of people who think I am as well.

But I couldn’t care any less if I tried because (a) it’s anonymous, and (b) I’m better than them.

Re regular and well-established members being castigated that does not include all those who have multiple names and identities and hide behind them. Sometimes there is such a plethora of multi-identities all using the same phrases and wording I think they are talking to themselves. Surely these need dealing with as well.
