Twice today my posts have been edited. Is this a new policy? If so, I think it should be re-examined. I for one am not happy for other people to change what I've written. That simply isn't right.
• Due to the high volume of posts, all editorial decisions are final, and discussion relating to the removal or editing of posts will not be entered into by the AB Editor.
Apologies, naomi24. It's very rare that we edit an answer. One of the few circumstances in which we do so are when that answer is beneficial to the thread but also happens to refer to a different answer that has been deleted. As far as I'm aware, that is what you are referring to.
Maybe it's time for a poll...asking ABers opinions on moderation and how it is carried out.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to manoeuvre what is right and wrong...making posting and reading a joyless activity.
I have never known an "edited" thread and as Ed says it is rare.
We have had numerous polls over the years re. Mods and posts removed and there has been no change over a decade and there never will be.
My advice is as always.....post what you need to say and after that it lies in the lap of the Gods.
It's the way of the world, a little authority brings political correctness, as is the case here, especially the remark that discussion not allowed. Yuck.
The Commissars have spoken.

If that were so with the high number of posts removed here on a daily basis, other posts would be edited constantly - but they’re not. This needs a re-think. It’s not smart.
If there are any instances of this then they can be brought to the editors’ attention via the email address: [email protected] or by using the report function. If they have not been reported in either of these ways, we may not be aware of them.
THECORBYLOON, I would prefer an offending post to be deleted. No one should take it upon themselves to change what someone else has said. Utterly wrong.
