add/remove progs

I have several programs that I deleted from my computer but can't delete them from the add/remove progs list in control panel.Any thoughts welcome.

fit aerial to transistor radio

I have a small transistor radio i listen to when walking but the signal comes and goes. Where inside the radio would i connect a piece of flexi wire to act as an aerial? Thank you in advance...

windows xp starts up too many things

How can I limit the programs and hardware that start up when I start windows xp? At the moment my computer searches for scanner,printer etc etc..things I don't need to start....

dropped broadband connection

When I get incoming phone calls I lose my broadband connection and have to re-connect. I don't know if having an answering machine sharing this line could be the cause?. Any help welcomed.

My bbc iplayer only plays for a second or so then I get the "loading" circles coming up before it plays for another second etc etc etc. How can I get it to play continuesly and smoothly? Idiots guide...
