Travel Insurance after a DVT ?

Does anyone know where I can get travel insurance (to the USA) at a 'fair' rate? Person has not suffered for 22 years, and this was as a result of poor Hopsital Care, kept in bed 6 weeks no thought...

'Chasing in' wiring

"Chasing in" wiring in a wall, an engineer has refused to conceal some new wiring, and made it surface mounted because he says Horizontal chasing in of wiring is not allowed, but it would have be OK...

Central Heating Pump probs (?)

Should a Central Heating water pump run 24 hours, even when the timer has shut down for the night? Overnight we hear the whirr of the pump even tho the CH is off on the timer as is the HW
