How about some uniformity in the answers section?

When I'm completely stuck on a crossword I'll look here for an answer but find it infuriating that I have to type in several different variations of the question for the same crossword ..i.e. everyman...

I'm totally stuck on 2 down.. C-O-E -U- N- C-G-R.. close but no cigar? 22 down L-U-A.. Lauda? if so why? L for learner but auda, distinctive character? or maybe Laura?...
