Fiesta auto (1994, M reg). was cutting out, got that fixed (apparantly something on the gearbox needed adjusting). More sluggish at pulling away now & have noticed that when pulling away it makes a rattling noise. Wondered if its likely to be the exhaust. If I pull away really slowly it is ok, but to pull away at any decent speed it is sluggish & noisy. It has also 'juddered' a couple of times when going along. I would appreciate any ideas as I have no idea (not mechanically minded). Once going it is ok, smooth, not noisy or juddery. Thanks

Get the exhaust checked out it is free. Boys in Blue . Cant get better than a Kw k -fit-Fitter.
Oh yes you can - you can get much much better.
as tubeway says; you can get better than a k*ik fit fitter upper. they ,in my experience, try to get more work than is required/necassary. don't take their word on what needs doing. get them to quote then go elsewhere and get a second oppinion.

if you need your car fixed askyour friends who they use and try to use a small friendly garage not a chain .Big building equals big overheads which lead to big bills for their customers. The juddering is prob the fuel/air mixture your mechanic adjusted it to make it not cut out you prob find it uses a little more petrol also.It really annoys me when mechanic adjust something and tell their customers its fixed .Anyway im getting off my soap box now

p.s the only thing he could of adjusted on the gearbox is the throttle cable/kickdown cable
