Osborne has ruled that the BBC Free Licence for over 75s should (although a Government ruling) be paid for by the BBC.

But I bet he wouldn't ever consider making the Bus Companies finance the free bus passes for over-75s. That would upset his rich shareholder cronies.

Enjoy your bus pass, Mikey. ;o)
Was it Thatcher who said: 'A chap must be considered a failure in life if he's still using public transport after the age of 25.'?

I've had a Bus a couple of years now, awful way to travel, hardly ever use it.
To be honest I would rather pay for my own transport than have Labour ruining the Country again.
Give mikey a break, Naomi. He's going through a traumatic period.(did you see the labour leaders' TV contest, yesterday. shudder)
Svejk, No, I didn't see it. Sorry to have missed it though. I like a laugh. :o)
Here in Devon the bus pass is linked to the age when you can start getting your state pension. My wife missed out on it by couple of months, now she has to wait extra few years for it.
