I've read through this list of people and I've come to this conclusion:
Don't Like - John Bishop, Jack Whitehall after I saw him on Alan Carr and he was an utter big-head, Mrs Brown's Boys, Lenny Henry who is an appalling racist and Jim Davison, who is an appalling racist, sexist, fake liar. (Watched him on Big Brother!).
Okay (Will watch if there's nothing else on) - Miranda Hart, Jasper Carrot, Tommy Cooper, Lee Mack (Good on 'Would I Lie to You), Mike Reid, Max Miller, Reg D Hunter (Goes on about racism too much), Victoria Wood (Who I really liked until I saw the way she treated Brian Blessed on the Paul O' Grady show).
Like - Ben Elton (met him, tiny wee man!), Alan Carr, Sarah Millican, Michael McIntyre, Ken Dodd, Kevin Bridges, Rhod Gilbert, Peter Kay, Dave Allen, Father Ted (met the writer Graham Linehan, lovely humble man), Tim Vine, Milton Jones (brilliant mind), Morecambe & Wise (I have a t-shirt on at this moment with them standing outside No 10 stirring an enormous Christmas pudding with Alec Guinness between them!), Marx Brothers, Leslie Nielson, Benny Hill, Sean Locke, Jack Dee, Frankie Howerd, Russell Brand - plus a few not mentioned - Armstrong & Miller, Mitchell & Webb, Bob Monkhouse (one of the cleverest men in the business, who was appalled when he watched himself because he did indeed appear a bit slimey!), and yes, I do like Frankie Boyle although I do admit that he goes too far sometimes, as does Jimmy Carr.
I watched the hologram Les Dawson show and laughed so much, I missed some of it. It was followed by a Jimmy Carr concert and I didn't laugh once.
My favourite of all time will always be Billy Connelly. I was fortunate enough to be at a festival when he walked on uninvited and just talked for half an hour. It was hilarious and I'll always treasure the memory as I was right up at the front, so could see it all. Usually I'm stuck behind someone of 6'4" and miss everything.
My Mum didn't like his language, but I thought she was going to die from lack of breath watching the incontinence trousers sketch. I'll see if I can find it....
