My Cat and Paper Bags

Why does my cat love to go inside and explore paper and plastic bags ?

my cat does this to he also loves to get in boxes and jump out at you,I think its something to do with their hunting instincts

They like dark hidey holes, but often the box or paper bag can retain some interesting smells which have to be investiated.

I have no idea why they do it, but they're comical when they do.

When my old cat used to do it, I'd creep up and gently the poke the outside of the bag. Go on. I dare you!!

Oh no .. my cat would bite my finger off, he's a complete ginger nutter.

Don't use a finger! - its the reason bamboo canes were invented......especially rattled along the outside of a bag....

And for comedy effect - put a cat treat in a really small bag and let them have a shot at diving into the bags for it...better than any telly for entertainment.
