I'm trying to build a leaflet and I'm struggling a little.

Is watermarking a good idea to make it look authentic?

I wouldn't bother Diz, it takes ages to dry 'em out afterwards.....
No, it just looks like you've nicked someone else's ideas.
A bit of a cliché if you ask me.

Zacs: lol not if I watermark it with my logo!
Ah, sorry Dizmo. Thought you meant you had found something online which was designed by someone else. In that case....
Still no. :-)
Ay up Diz, hope you are ok.
Always without the watermark to make the image stand out clearly imo xx
I wouldn't bother either. Anyone can add a watermark to a document with MS Office etc etc. It was only authentic looking in the days of printing.
You need to establish your brand, so no, clear and specific this time.

Once it's established you can recess a watermark effect into stationery so that your brand is there but it doesn't put folk off writing over it. I do this with my postcards, the drawing on the front, address details on the back and a watermark or recessed effect of their pub brand/sign into the paper....
Dear Dizmo, You can use watermark on your custom and your own created designs to stop other to stolen your work and share on their portfolio. Watermark shows your identity on your own work.

Be careful don't use watermark on others work..
