I have a person for Web design and Graphic design particularly (Photoshop, Corel draw or illustrator). I have recently purchased a Compaq 300, 512 MHz. I have version 7 Photoshop, and version 12 Corel draw. I also have tried searching for HTML basic free courses on the net. Could anyone help with ideas on how I could go about doing this, particularly with finding adequate, relevant and easy to follow as well as illustrated or interactive self study material? I can't afford costly and fulltime tuition. However, I would consider working as an apprentice provided I get to develop these skills.
Thanks

I'd reccomend a trip to WHSmiths. There are a lot of very good mags out there with good tutorials and exercises etc to improve your skills. Several have a DVD or CD with videos of it, all really good.

Recognised courses cost money, so if you can't afford them then you are best learning the skills off your own back and then hawking out your skills with examples of your work.

Hi Doug

I bought an HTML elearning 2cd course in PCWorld for under a tenner in the sale. It's in the same series as their VB6 course and the Teach yourself Office ones.

The Best and easiest way to learn html is a book called HTML4..author Elizabeth Castro..its a visual start up guide available in wh smith
