All well but very very tired. Hospital beds coupled with Cannulas and noisey machines doesn't bode well for a good nights sleep not to mention any time I wanted to sleep I was interrupted for my 2 hour BM.

Can I also just say thank you for your kind wishes yesterday means a lot

Morning, I slept well but woke up with raging sugars, so I think it's evident I'm not out of the woods yet, but I do feel a fraction better
Feeling better ( even if it is a fraction ) has got to be good though, queenie.

good morning

i am pleased to see you rested however, get your sugars sorted and don't exert yourself today

Afternoon Excel and Tony

I'm trying hard to get them down, my breakfast insulin and correction are still working away but I've gone from 32 down to 21, slowly coming down. Will see what they are like at lunch and will take it from there. I haven't done much excel...first thing I felt dreadful...thought I was going to have to go back in but decided I'd do a 'Sqad' and monitor the situation.

This is true Tony. I'm due to go to Kirkcaldy on Friday so I want to be able to manage that even if I have to go there and come back here, but will see.
So queenie what is the ideal level ?.

Hey you'll be fine by Friday.

I want to be between 6-8 but right now I feel more comfortable about 7-11 as I can then get a better idea of how things are going and what way they are going. Usually when ill though sugars do tend to run higher and the higher you are a correction dose has more work to do so it isn't always working to its best potential. But I will get there eventually. I'm now very fearful of hypoing and I'm being cautious with my correction doses. Sometimes they can overshoot where I want to be and lead to a hypo.

I hope so as it's the Links Market and I'd like to do something fun for once
appointment for diabetic clinic /nurse queenie, before weekend ?

There isn't much they can do Anne other than tell me to carry on doing what I am doing. But I'm waiting on a call back to have a chat about what's been happening..so will see what's said

Question Author
Links Market is when a selection of fair ground rides are along the prom Tony...basically it's the shows.
Oh Bernie that's not good :( however in old money 15 is ok...as a child I was allowed to get to 17 before you were instructed to start worrying about ketones and corrections. You'll be fine soon :)
Thanks queenie, have fun.
