incandescent?

Thanks but I need two words that sound the same but are spelt differently.

This one is proving very difficult....... HELP!!
Keep thinking the bright flame could be flare.
blasé = apathetic to pleasure or excitement as a result of excessive indulgence or enjoyment
Question Author
Thank you emeritus.
Blasé and blaze are not exactly homophones.
Question Author
I know but we're struggling a bit with this one. I'm going with that answer. Another question seems to suggest the answers are bloke and block.
Homophones have to sound identical (like flare and flair although I don't think this is the answer in this case)
Question Author
Totally agree but the other clue I referred to was A MALE PERSON (bloke) and TO OBSTRUCT (block). Couldn't come up with anything else.
