I assume that it's being run from Brussels -- as usual.
The government stills exists until after the election, when it will either continue or give way to a new one.
nah of course not, they are all looking to their futures ! as for Tony Blair joining the circus if that doesn't put the undecided voters off nothing will !
Senior civil servants as usual I should imagine.
No, the governement is dispanded and the country is being run by the civil servants. We won't notice the difference, its just that nothing new can happen until after the election.
There will be a new government after the election no matter who wins. Meanwhile the current one continues - of course - though Parliament has been dissolved.

So, are M.P.s necessary? Apart from the illusion that the people have chosen a government?
Parliament is dissolved but ministers remain in office till a new government is formed.
MPs sit in Parliament. The goverment governs from Whitehall. The government keeps on governing after Parliamentary business is finished.
