After the huge debacle with my BP it's currently a little high again. I was at the GP today re: fainting and pill I was told that I need to try get my BP down or I'll need to be taken off the pill. Now my BP is always high when I attend diabetic clinic but it's alright usually when I go to the dr. I also don't want to come off the pill as my periods are - pardon the pun - a *** nightmare - what alternatives could be an option and how can I try maintain a normal blood pressure or get it down? I am not stressed or anything, nothing is bothering me so I can't understand it.

NJ...impressed......but not convinced. Of course, there is another aspect.....do patients with "WCS" ( I have to force myself to type it ;-)) develop full blown and persistent hypertension and if they do (as i feel they certainly) should they be put on a small dose of BP lowering drug? Just my thoughts.

I have thought about it in the past lcg but I really don't fancy it or at least not just now (I'm really squeamish) I've also discussed with my doctors about planning a family in the next few years so now is maybe not the time. It's not the periods that are the problem, I can just about cope with the pain, it's the hormonal torment before. The Drs thought prior to the pill I was suffering pmdd - I could be lovely one min and totally bloomin psycho the next. But I will give it some consideration for the future though. Thank you :) x

No I'm on injections 4 a day methyl. At the end of the DAFNE course it becomes apparent who would benefit from a pump or changes in insulin. I was neither, but the clinic has often said I wouldn't benefit from a pump, but it's not to say that may change
