This may cause controversy but how i feel , why do they let paedophiles back on the streets? Why don't they (government) buy land and fence them all in . These people will never change they just mix with others and get worse Why don't we test all the new drugs on them i personally don't care if anything did happen to someone who abuses kids . I worked with abused & abusers over 25 years. I agree wholeheartedly that sexual abuse is usually a terrible & destructive experience for the victim. I also agree that a gut-response to "paedophiles" can be unjust. I worked in special needs, where boys & girls tended to give in to growing sexual urges very readily, constant monitoring was neede. But sexual behaviour DID occur sometimes. A 15 year old boy having some sort of sex with a 15 year-old girl IS A SCHEDULE 1 offence, legally indecent assault or rape, depends on how far they go. The law says a girl under 16 CANNOT consent to sex, even if she says "yes" the law says "No" for her! Is her boyfriend a rapist? To the same degree as the man in the appalling baby rape? Surely not? The law can be involved where 15 years olds have consenting sex (I have seen 12 year old boys in Court for this) - some in this thread would have these lads castrated & experimented on. That sounds to me like child abuse. There ARE degrees of sex offending, degrees of risk. There ARE dangerous men & women who should be locked up for public safety. There ARE those who are Schedule 1 (on the register automatically) who ARE normal & will be caring adults & parents - they happened to be caught doing something many 14 and 15 year-olds do - the law became involved because a complaint was made by a 3rd party. It worries me that some see "Paedophile" or "Schedule 1" and see ALL with this label as sub-human. Young schedule 1 cases can often change. Being 15 with hormones raging, anything turns them on! This arousal may not be fixed, "normal" sexual experiences can turn them on too, so avoiding the deviant & allowing the normal can move them to normal relationships. What I am saying is don't assume all Schedule 1's are monsters, though sadly some are.

I am a father of two girls aged 7 and 8 and their loving mother is 40 years of age. I go to work throughout the day from 8 till 5 and my wife ensures my children go to school each day and is there to collect them when school is out. I feel that I am very lucky that my children are supervised to the extent that I feel comfortable that all three are safe until I get home. The issue that is haunting me at the moment is that my children want to play outside with their friends later because summer is approaching and I want to spoil their fun by calling them inside at a reasonable time.

I always explain to them the darker side of strangers and my daughters are very responsive to this, but what sort of world are we living in when we constantly have to supervise our childrens playtime.

I have read countless messages regarding paedophiles and what we should or shouldn't do with them and if they are medically sick or just plain evil.

Speaking as a father of two beautiful children I would consider it living hell if anything happened to either of my children and I would disobey the law to the fullest extent to mete out personal justice even if it means incarcaration for me.

Paedophiles should not be allowed to live no matter what age, no matter what circumstance.

Just put yourself in the shoes of the parent whose child has been defiled or even God forbid, murdered.

What would your thoughts be I wonder???
