Why is it that coppers on The Bill always shout "Oi, come 'ere" at the suspect when they are about 50 yards away ?

And when they're watching someone and want backup WHY do they come racing up,sirens blaring??

surely they know wthat the suspect is going to run when they shout at them lol 8-)

They obviously don't believe in making life easier for themselves :-)
Perhaps they are in training for the marathon
Says something about modern society. In my day it was "Could I have a word with you sir?"
