I believe you could, yes. Providing you own it and don't contravene any welfare regulations. But, some (all?) abbatoirs might refuse to do it, as they wouldn't have the experience and/or equipment to do the job humanely.

I have had horsemeat that was butchered in the UK (a few years ago, now). Very nice it was, too.

Don't take it anywhere just put it in the grand national!!!!
I remember growing up, the local Butchers sold 'Horse meat for human consumption',
Buy a horse thats already ready to die of old age or a illness of somekind. You dont plan to kill a perfectly healthy horse do you ?

thanks for the answers folks , i have no intention of killing a horse peanut im english, i was asking to prove a point to a french friend.

but if i was id rather eat a healthy youngish one than a clapped out old scabby thing wouldn't you.

abxlutely difl - who wants to eat an old one. I'm not sure I could eat horse-meat, but really I can't see the deffference (morally) between horse or beef or mutton/lamb
There is no difference morally. Lets have a dog burger!
