A few days ago an ABer started a thread on the savage, sadistic and satanic killing of a couple of horses.

On this particular thread I entered this news story regarding the savage, sadistic and satanic killing of a young human being, hoping to get a response regarding a comparison between the two cases.

Since it seems obvious that this did not attract any response from those who felt it more important to address the killing of the horses rather than this sadistic crime, I now enter it in it's own right for discussion, since although I think the killing of the horses is most horrifying, I think this case is of much more concern.

But perhaps there will be some who don't, it will be interesting to know why.

Didn't want to hijack the thread on horse killing, but could not get my head around the fact that this case had not been discussed rather than the animals. Begining to wonder if animals are held more sacred than people by some. It is one of the most horrific cases I have ever read, I know who I would accuse of being possessed.
I personally feel that anyone who can sadistically torture any living thing, human or otherwise, should be locked up for the rest of their lives. It won't happen but I live in hope.
I think Brenden, the trouble is people have become a bit desensitised (sp) to the way humans treat humans (as there is usually a motive, whether sane or not) but still find it shocking that someone can attack an innocent animal. It's a strange world we live in!
The animal kingdom is just as brutal rocky, I do not agree with any violence but I would always put humans before animals. What a society we live in - not world, as the world is wonderful - it is us, the viruses.
Are there many animals that would inflict pain for their own pleasure? Most kill out of necessity.
The guy's a dangerous savage, hope they both get life.
Brenden I don't disagree, but animals live by instinct whereas us humans know better.
It gets headlines as it happened in a county where there are relatively few murders.

It was heartless and cruel.

No it is not the first time it has happened and it will not be the last.

The perpetrator(s), if caught, should be banged away for a very long time as they could do this to a human too.

And that, AOG, is not favouring the murder of a human. Both crimes are horrific and should be met with the full force of the law.

After all, Pomeroy's Lady Justice of the Old Bailey sits there, scales in hand, awaiting the assessment of each case under Common Law, not comparing the satanic murder of a horse with a satanic murder of a human. Each case is a case, not a prescription or to be open to inane interpretations.
