why do we need a second thread on this subject? - it's an exercise in redundancy.
maybe they are listing Mohammad, Muhamed etc as separate names?

Well, it was good enough for that nice Mr Cromwell !
According to the news I heard on the radio this morning and read in my paper today, Mohammed is the top name !
As there are so many Mohammeds, it would be appear to be the name of choice in Islam, are they known by another more familiar name by family and friends?
I'm seriously not being ignorant nor obtuse here but surely all the Mohammeds and all the spelling variations must be referred to with a different name within their family circles.

It would be impossible to shout for Mohammed...you'd get an entire street at your door !

Anyone any the wiser?

The official data is not out of date. Figures for 2014 haven't been released yet.

The Baby Club's statistics are meaningless in relation to the whole of the UK.
