I have just heard that although the price of a barrell of oil is now much lower than a month ago...........the petrol price can not be reduced as expected because the Pound is now much weaker than the Dollar.
The Price of a barrell of oil is priced internationally in Dollars

When the Pound was 2$ I cant remember it being a good thing either ?

I saw the euro advertised at 1.11 to the in a travel agents today.

:(
Watching repeats of 'The Good Life' on UK Gold, they mentioned the price of 2 star....77p a GALLON!!! Ah, memories!!
unfortunately when the was $2, the price of oil itself was higher than it is now, so it's swings and roundabouts. But oil is a finite resource that is gradually being used up. Nothing the government can do about it. Drivers however can do something about it: drive less.
