The pump is very low powered and won't do anything until the engine is running which is why you need the hand primer but if you've had it running, check the non return valve is working, is seating properly and it has the seal. You should only be able to blow one way through the pump from the inlet with the inlet and outlet open. Have you actually got it running yet?

I have a parts book but no manual yet for this model 202 H1M to 207 B1C 7/80 or 202 H9K to 207 B9B 7/78. 5 to you inc pp if you want it. You can contact me through ebay community, captainlittlelegs.

By the way have found my old Champion sparkplug books and the L82C is 7mm gap but only reset them once it is running ok.

I had it running on tick over, then I left it for a day and it was a non starter. I changed all fuel lines ,filter and it won't even kick .....ordered and renewed gaskets and diaphragm.....but it still won't pump fuel when I turn it over.the non return sounds good....how do i check this .....will get to you on captainlittlelegs...thanks again
You need to prime it every time you need to start it. As I said it won't pump unless it is running, the starter isn't fast enough so you are wasting your time. The valve is under the pump cover but you can check the operation by disconnecting the pipes and trying to blow back through it. If the non return valve is working properly you won't be able to. Outboards can be temperamental especially when old but get them set up right and then you get to know how they start best.
Sounds like you and Stanleyman should get together ??
