I'm curious- how did you all choose your profile names?

I'm not asking for any personal information, or anything that could uniquely identify you, so please bear this in mind when answering. I'm just curious, and unlike most of my posts, there is not agenda here, hidden or otherwise.

I'll start...the 'SP' are the initials of the street I lived on when I got my first home PC, and 1814 refers to my favourite album at that time (Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814).

Well mine comes about from something a very good friend suggested I name my team: Middle Aged Fat Balding Old Git Originally I tried to get that one but AB screwed up and locked it when I tri4d to set it up. As I was at the younger side of middle age I prefixed with 'young'

Cheers, Andy, I hope you're right!
When I was about 12 or 13, I started regularly using an online forum dedicated to a series of strategy games called Total War. I've never liked usernames with lists of numbers and, being 12 or 13, decided to just make up a silly word, "Kromovaracian". It stuck and is still my handle for most forums and discussion boards I go on (though there are a couple of others I sometimes use).

The original word was too long for AB, so I had to reduce it by a couple of characters. Ta daaa.
For me, when I created my first email account, I had to chose a password. I could not think of anything but in the end the keayboard I was using called keyplus. So I used keyplus but password had to have digits so I just added 90. Why 90, I have no idea but since then password has changed but keyplus90 stayed with me one way or another.
Wolf63 - My pseudonym (Hymie) is the Christian name from the anagram of my full name.

If I were to supply the complete anagram (of my first & second names), it would be easy to deduce my real full name.
Hymie - I confess that I spent a while (over 5 minutes!) trying to find a christian name from Hymie. Thanks for your explanation.

:-)

Thanks for all the answers...genuinely enlightening.

Shocked to see that Kromovaracun is a made up word, and pleased to finally understand the mystery of youngmafbog after all this time.
