Even you, Beso, must have heard of, "The Pause"? The eighteen year hiatus in global warming that has everyone scratching their heads? The halt in global temperature increase that the models didn't predict and that no one can explain? No? You say, "Read the science". I suggest you follow your own advice.
The irrefutable fact (acknowledged by the IPCC and every climate scientist worth their salt) is, there has been no statistically significant global temperature increase for approximately 18 years. You seem to find that truth uncomfortable. So much so that you clearly get very angry when someone states this truth. I find that terribly worrying. It suggests that you have a very myopic and specific agenda; one that requires you to break out the big 'loony' guns the moment it rears its head. Nevertheless it is apparent that there is a fundamental disconnect between the relationship of the molecule CO2 and the temperature on this planet. Despite the fact that globally, the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere has been increasing year on year, we don't see a corresponding year on year increase in global temperature. It's just not happening. Every measurement we take tells the same story - from ground based Stephen boxes to satellite measurements, the results are the same: no warming despite the ever increasing amounts of atmospheric CO2.
Oh, and the "loony" thing - unnecessary. If you're going to deny "The Pause" at least back it up with some evidence. Don't just insult me and claim it isn't happening. Show me the evidence that I'm wrong and I'll consider it. I have no idealogical axe to grind on this matter.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. There's no spin on the stats. Antarctic ice is at its highest since modern records began. There are no two ways about it. The only way we've been able to measure sea-ice extent is by satellites. They've been up there since the late 1970s. That means we have around 30 years worth of sea-ice area data. And this year the sea-ice area is bigger than it's ever been since we've been able to quantify it.

For example, the "World Disasters Report for 2003" (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies [IFRC]) reports that this year has seen the lowest number of catastrophes in 10 years and 22,500 dead (average 100,000) due to natural disasters.
