23. Sounds like a pre-cub scout (7 letters in England)
28. King Duncan murdered here (7 letters in Scotland)
32. Horse fair (8 letters in England)
44. London St with film connection (7 letters in England)

Any help appreciated. I haven't a clue what a pre-cub scout is!!! I have discovered FOUR different castles that Duncan died in but none 7 letters and I can only find a 7 letter answer for 32. Driving me mad!!!

23 Beevor castle ..sounds like Beaver ..the littlies cub scouts
32 is probably a mistake as there is an Appleby castle in Cumbria.

Thank you so much Shaney. I never knew there were different grades of cub. One down, three to go, I'll just BEEVOR on!

Thanks Mike. That WAS the answer I had. Maybe I'll just spell it with three Ps!
Perhaps they have spelt it Applebey.
Always thought that King Duncan was murdered at Glamis Castle, but wrong number of letters. Will look again.
28 Macbeth ? (known as Cawdor)
44 Warwick?
p.s 23 is spelt Belvoir Castle
Just in case I think "Beevor" castle is actually spelt as Belvoir (i could be wrong but in case it doesn't fit try my offer)
Question Author
Right Wharton. Didn't know that. I had Cawdor, Glamis, Dousinane and Inverness, all from different sites!!!! He must have got murdered a lot. Thanks. Also Shaney, Beevor is the wrong number of letters but that MUST be right. Only one to go!
Sorry KUSTARD it must be Belvoir ..
I do apologise .

It's pronounced as Beaver

Sorry, we are all typing together. Belvoir is pronounced Beaver apparently, just coincidental that there is a Beevor castle. It's lovely getting answers. Don't like asking these days unless desperate cos everyone keeps getting shouted at!! Oh, sorry, missed one!! Why "Warwick" for 44?
Warwick Castle. There's a street called Warwick in London.Warwick Films was the name of a film company founded in 1951
Wardour castle, Wardour Street in Soho was the centre of the British film industry.
That's a better answer,BIGJACK
Question Author
