I have never before come across a word that looks so unlikely as to what it means. Who would believe it means beauty?
Can you think of any other words that do not look right for their meaning?

Our Caran, pulchitrudionous to the point that she out-dazzled the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister, Pippa the Bum, when they were all together in Waitrose.....

Barðarbunga .... now that's a great word...might be hearing a LOT more about that one...;0)
Another favourite of mine again from Greek roots:

'kakorrhaphiophobia' - a fear of baby's bottom offerings or an intense fear of failure or defeat....? Maybe some of the Indian cricketers ought to suffer from this, given the reaction of their press.
I've been there, slappy, - degree in glaciology.....didn't realise that when on the sandur of Breidamerkerjokull, there was a volcano underneath! Discovered that a RGS lecture in Exeter recently (on the lessons of the Icelandic dust fallout).
Mmmmmm... keep your eyes on that beggar... could be interesting, harmonic tremors detected over the weekend apparently
Will do....
Then there's pishogue, a charming Irish word.
kamelaukion - not a camel's gymasium but an Orthodox priest's pointed gnome-like hat.
Caran surely you remember 'The Good Old Days' on TV with Leonard Sachs as the MC he used pulchritudinous frequently in his introductions as well as Terpsichorean, that is related to dancing.

And we have to finish with 'Down at the Old Bull and Bush.'
kamelaukion - did Boy (hmm) George not sing about that???
