Watching A Video

I wanted to watch a video of a steam mop in Argos etc. Had to download Adobe which I did but still I can't watch the video. Anything more I can do. Thanks

Get one from Argos, try it out and return it if it's no good! (That's what I do)

Adobe is the name of a software company that makes lots of things. I'm guessing that you mean Adobe Flash Player though. It has a nasty habit of not functioning properly but when you go to download it again the fault-free version doesn't install itself because it thinks that the program is already there.

Go to your Control Panel and then to Programs and Features. Look for the option to uninstall Adobe Flash Player Plug-in. Do so. THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. (THAT'S IMPORTANT SO THAT'S WHY I'M SHOUTING!). Then download Adobe Flash Player again from here:

(NB: Do NOT accept the offer to McAfee Security Scan Plus!).

buenchico - I went to control panel -= it is all very different to XP - anyway I have adobe flash, air, reader, shock - anyway uninstalled first Adobe but there is no way of knowing if it is being done or finished etc it just says "uninstall" - then nothing seems to move. Whilst I am on here will I also remove all the above too. Thanks

Well, if you do, you'll need to download and install another pdf reader, otherwise you won't be able to open pdf files ('cos you'll have got rid of Adobe Reader, which does that job for you). Here's what I use instead:

(Download the file and then double-click on it to install the program).
