Serious question...and this is not another UKIP-bashing threads. This is something I'm geniunely interested in...

Do those who support UKIP actually want them to win the next General Election, or do you want them to give the Tories and Labour such a bloody nose as to make them re-think (and prioritise) a referendum on membership of the EU?

Alternatively, if it were a hung parliament, would you be in favour of a UKIP/Conservative or (bizzare as it may seem at this point) a UKIP/Labour coalition?

//I also disagree though that the other parties should kowtow to them on the EU and immigration. The first point really emphasises that. Europe and immigration are simply not big enough issues to force people to vote UKIP at a General Election//

Spoken like a true Eurocrat.

Dont let the little people have a say, they might give the wrong answer.

Really naomi...LibDems have well and truly had it ?

If you had just listened to some LibDem twit being interviewed live on the World at One just now, you could be forgiven for thinking that what happened yesterday was just a blip. They are paying the price of supping with the Devil, when they agreed to prop up a Tory government in 2010. I predicted that would be the case at the time and I have been proven right, although it hardly needed the judgement of Solomon to have worked that one out.

In my opinion, the LibDems have now no chance of being taken seriously, perhaps for a generation of more. I am old enough to remember when the Liberals had MPs in single figures...those days are coming back.
Foxhunting? If Helen Keller lobbed a brick up here she'd be unlucky not to hit one.
Mikey, I'm not sure what you think 'had it' means, but you seem to be saying they've 'had it' too.
Sorry...bit gnomic for me. I was agreeing with you...the LibDem boat is dead in the water.
I voted UKIP yesterday as a protest vote hoping that the three main parties will sit up and take note if Ukip do well. So they have a year to get their houses in order, listen to the majority public and do something about it. As of now I am not considering voting UKIP in the GE - but...

The figures showing the number of EU and non-EU immigrants over the past year show that the Coalition and Labour might not be too concerned...
They should be concerned. There is STILL a net influx.
This is history repeating itself sp, the German population were not listened to in 1939 and look what happened - please do not say it could not happen here - (it could and will if steps are not taken and people think that Muslims are a big threat to this country - Enoch Powell saw it )) take a look around the world and see what a mess it is in -
