Must I Abandon My Website?

I have a modest website with sound at http://www.skeef.freeserve.co.uk and for many years used Terrapin ftp for uploading and making changes to it. Having updated from XP to Windows 7, Terrapin is no longer compatible. File Zilla ftp is now installed on my computer, but I’m having no success with it. I cannot connect via uploads.webspace.freeserve.net that I previously used. My interest started years ago with Freeserve, which became Wanadoo and is now EE. I’m thinking I may have to abandon my website and try to make a fresh start somewhere else. Suggestions / advice welcome.
