What is moonshine??? i've just watch dukes of hazard, AGAIN, and i cant' find any info of moonshine on the net!!

Moonshine is so called because it was made under the cover of darkness during the prohibition, as the stills used to give off alot of smoke and was pretty obvious to the 5-0. .....not sure if its relevant to any particular drink.
