having our last fire (no more wood) so got out meat fork and bbq tongs and had toast and jam for tea, oooh, it was lovely ..... who needs fast food

It's a long time since I toasted bread like that Poglet, almost 50 years I bet.

still tastes as good, especially as it was uncut and the apricot jam made a nice change..... try it when you next get a chance x

Hi Poglet, I know what you mean about toasting in front of the fire, we toast chestnuts and marshmallows too :-)

gammaray, ANY cup of tea is fantastic for me, I love the stuff, especially with a slice of cake ......
