just wondering. how come if you miss one or two pills (after taking at least 7 in a row) you are no longer protected, yet on your placebo week you miss 7 and you are protected. surely your body doesnt know when the placebo week is coming and so an accidently missed pill could be the start of a placebo week for all it knows? (please no advice on how to use the pill)

its because your body does know in a way as it is working by cycles. The missed pill week occurs when the hormones in your cycle are at a set level that inhibits you getting pregnant. At any other time in the cycle the hormones are not set like that and failing to top them up with the pill means you could release, fertilise and implant an egg.....
