In the days of vinyl, I collected autographs from bands i interviewed, so my top two are The Smiths, a signed copy of a 12" limited edition - can't remember which one now (a real fan aren't I) and I have a copy of October signed by U2.
I have Morrissey's: I wrote to him in the early Smiths days and he replied on a veggie postcard in purple wax crayon! I also have signed Pet Shop Boys and Julian Cope albums; Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks; a Jeffrey Archer novel (don't ask); and various signed theatre programmes (Julia Mackenzie, Rupert Everett, Alun Armstrong, Fascinating Aida, Deven May, etc).
David Beckham's - went to same school as him - his sister Joanne was in the year above me and he picked her up one day (obviously for attention) - everyone swarmed round him including me and I got his autograph on a piece of scrap paper!!
i went to the same school as beckham also.same as the geezer from eastenders martin i think his name is and also the morgan twins who played for spurs and QPR ian and roger i think that was there names also got jimmy greaves autograph he had a shop in the town
Mickey Pratt - what a small world this is that we went to the same school. Martin Fowler (James Alexandrou is his real name) was in the year below me. He was a bit of an idiot though!!
Well ludwig, you beat me to it, I've got Maggie's as well, I temped at the Houses of Parliament before she was PM and she wrote me a Thank You letter and signed it (letter was typed, just signature real!). Also I've got Michael Winner (another letter) and Paul McCartney on one of his albums when I was young and queued outside Wembley Studios when the Beatles on Blue Peter. Those were the days ...
