Just come home from a Faulty Towers experience at our local golf club restaraunt. It was amazing. Basil, Sybil and Manuel. They never stopped from 7.30 until 10.40. Really good lookalikeys, in mannerisms and appearance. They started off in the bar with pre dinner drinks, introduced themselves to everyone. Then escorted each party to their tables in the dining room. The re enacted a lot of the sketches, poor old Manuel lost his rat and got beaten about the head so many times. We had the fire, the food inspector, the pigeon in the water tank. I'm aching with laughter. They served the food, Basil threw the bread rolls to everyone. Even the staff enjoyed it and joined in. Afterwards they all came to each table and chatted and were very generous with the amount of posing for photographs. They do a dieffenbachia show every night, none is scripted they just to off in whatever direction they want to.
If you get the chance do go and see them, very well worth the money.

i loved fawlty towers - - - - where was this?
Sounds the kind of evening my OH would like - he loved Fawlty Towers programme and often quotes some of the iconic lines!
Is it touring the country or just at local venues?

It was at Forest Hills Golf Club in the Forest of Dean. They do a different venue 6 days a week.

They all looked so realistic as FT characters. The staff said when they arrived in the afternoon Manuel was unrecognisable as him. He really did do a good job down to the peculiar walk he had. After the show when they came chatting to everyone they stayed in character. We were a small group of 40 which made it more intimate, they made everyone feel part of the show.
