Nice cup of Americano on the go right now.

What I'd like to be having with it is a couple of Lotus Caramelised Biscuits and possibly an almond croissant.

What I've actually got is a toasted stale crust (so stale that I had to trim the worst of the mould off before toasting it) with some rather dodgy 'scrapings from the bottom' of my last jar of marmalade.

I think an outing to my favourite german supermarket is necessary ...

I can't open a packet of those Lotus biscuits, once I start the whole lot will be gone.

Hmmm, not sure I'd be toasting mouldy bread, are you still living in the war?

Thats it, you've just upset me!!

This time last year we were in Thailand and we ended up on an island called Koh Lanta. On there we found a German bakery and we often started the day there with breakfast and took away paper bags filled with cakes.

I keep a stash of frozen pain au chocolat and croissant in the freezer.

They are fab, 20 mins in the oven and you have a fresh baked pastry for breakfast.

Not that I ever eat breakfast!
