File list to text file

Can anyone please, please, tell me how to create a text file of the names all the files that are in a specific folder? (without manually typing them all out, obviously!)

You need the very useful Printfolders, it's website seems to be down but PC World have it for download here

or you can navigate to the directory in DOS and type dir /b > c:\list.txt

That will create a file called list.txt with all the filenames in it on the root of you C Drive
