Do we still get pleasure from going out to the shops?

Having some fresh air, and talking to a real, live shop keeper?

I never have a newspaper delivered, because I like to walk down to East Street, say hello to the guy in the shop, get a coffee, etc.

I like to go out to buy my newspaper, groceries, books, CDs, clothes, everything really.

But I wonder if more and more people would prefer to do it all sitting at a table at home.

I'm going to start a counter revolution against the online shopping culture.

Charity shops, Quinie?....We have three....in a small town we are really just exchanging stuff with our neighbours but there is still gossip about just who donated all the sex toys!

JJ...your description of fish foot eating should be put to music....☺

Who would use someone else's sex toy???

That's worse than putting your feet in fish poop water.

Actually, a couple of my pals have played with mine.

My argument has fallen apart.
How lovely for you gness, that will keep you going then. Sorry to hear he didn't live to spend it with you though. He must have had lucky tickets.
Just one charity shop, gness No sex toys, just children's ones. A thought just struck me-would I recognise sex toys if they were donated to the shop?lol

i very much enjoy window shopping, and browsing
I have never ever enjoyed shopping per se and mostly use the good old net. I do enjoy browsing nurseries and craft shops occasionally and having coffee out.
He was a lucky man in many ways, Pips....he married me....☺☺☺..hmmm.

Quinie....if they put them in the window as mine did you will know by the giggling crowd gathered around....x
Sorry.jj for digressing but gness, talking of sex toys reminds me of the time I went shopping with an elderly friend. She told the young assistant she needed a battery for her vibrator-assistant was speechless and trying not to giggle until I hastened to explain what it was for-not the kind she had in mind lol. Outside the shop.I explained why the assistant had reacted the way she did.Needless to say my friend was mortified but eventually saw the funny side.
