my y reg micra intermittanely cuts out when slowing down at roundabouts, traffic lights etc. It has been tested on a diagnostic machine and the garage couldnt find anything wrong. However its done it 3 times since yesterday. It starts up ok. It doesnt happen all the time, could it be fuel injection problems.

thanks for any advice

My old cavalier used to do that, a common fault on those, a sticky idle control valve, cleaner with carb cleaner and the fault disapeared.

Thanks DWR for replying. I usually get my petrol from either Tesco or Sainsburys
Give it a tankful of Shell - the additives will clean the plugs etc (supermarket petrol doesn't have them).

Take it for a decent run too - at least 30 minutes at motorway speeds - 'clear the tubes' and burn off any crud that is affecting ignition.
Hi Great, as said, fill up on either shell / Esso, also buy a tin of Wynns Petrol Injector cleaner, add to the tank of fuel and go for a good run, after a couple of months bye another tin add to the tank, that should clean out your fuel system, I would not use Supermarkets fuel but that's my choice, I have never used them or will I.

thanks everybody for tips with Petrol, will give it a try
I had an old Astra used to do that, and it was eventually cured by having the coil pack changed.
