a drive

My sister just been given a computer and was told a drive has been knocked off. How can we get it back please

If it's a driver you need for a piece of hardware - diskdrive, soundcard etc, just go to the manufacturers website and download it free.

Sorry, I dont understand your terminology "Knocked off" , if you mean it no longer works try going into bios and see if is enabled.

When you say 'a drive' do you in fact mean the 'A' Drive which is the floppy disk drive.

If so, do you mean it has been physically removed from the PC or is no longer shown on 'My Computer'

Thanks to you all for all the help.Sorry have not been able to check all your suggestions out as unfortunatly have not had access to sisters pc since sent the question. In answer to dodgyshirt question As far as I know Floppy drive does not show up in My Computer.

Will get back to you once checked it out
