Went to the supermarket today (free parking on Sundays) £29 something opened my bag, no purse, do you have a credit / debit card. Yes Says I in my purse. Tell me you've done it too.

I did that last week in Aldi, I had been looking for something in my bag, took my purse out and didn't put it back in. All my shopping was on the conveyor thing and it was about my turn when I realised. I had to put everything back in the trolley quick because people were huffing and puffing behind me, I went back to get my purse and rejoin the queue.

You can't even ring anyone to ask them to pick it up as all the numbers are stored in it

It doesn't happen to me, I think it is because I always carry my wallet in my trouser pocket and if my wallet isnt there I know about it, I am immediately aware of its absence as it is quite a thick wallet and my trouser pocket then feels empty.

Oh yes. I'd put my card in my pocket, did a big trolley shop and went to pay ......... with my University Staff car parking card. oops

I actually left my car in the supermarket carpark. It wasn't until I arrived home did I realise that I'd left my car behind.

In my defence I usually walk to that particular supermarket but was going past on the way back from somewhere else. Autopilot...
