Do you need to type anything while it boots?
Do they work fine once your PC has booted fully? (I guess they're connected by USB which is sometimes only fully functional once your OS has booted rather than in DOS as soon as you power up)

Did it come with a USB to PS2 adapter ? Logitech keyboards normally come with them and recommend that this is used rather than USB on a PC - different for laptops.

The reason being, as previously stated, that USB does not come fully operational as early as the PS2 mouse/keyboard sockets during boot up. This may be causing the message.
