thanks
and a complete waste of time if u ask me, why would anyone need a wireless keyboard if the keyboard sits next to their PC? i understand for other applications but for normal desk use...????
Although the two terms are now used interchangeably, their original meanings were quite distinct:

Cordless - without the need for a power cord i.e. a device with its own power supply and not connected to the mains.

Wireless - able to transmit/communicate without wires by the use of a form of energy such as radio waves, infrared, ultrasonic, etc.

By these definitions you can see that many devices are both wireless and cordless.
