We have two male cats - one is about 12 and the other is around 2.The younger one has recently started to attack the older one - more than just playing! It has started to chase him all over the house and waits for him to emerge from his hiding places. The older one never fights back, but I feel it must be quite distressing for him. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

don't really know much about cat behaviour, but sounds like the younger one is trying to take over the older one's territory, i'm sure i read somewhere that male cats do this, perhaps i'm wrong, but it must be upsetting for your older cat, could you perhaps have a word with your vet? or maybe your local cats protection league , they are very good at helping and advising people on cat behaviour, hope you manage to sort things out. x
