Well we have taken the plunge yet again, despite fighting against it and stupidly ignoring the warning short film (namely Simon's Cat : Cat Man Do) on YouTube, we have just got 2 cats from Cats Protection.
24 hours in they are still very nervous and hiding in their beds in our utility room, but I wonder how long it will be before they are ruling the roost and have me running around catering to their every desire?
They are both female called Minna and Soushka one is 5 and the other is 8!

Thanks Baldric, I think the bed space will be the first to go, followed by my comfy chair and all the heat from the fire!

Todays avatar is a rescue, took her a year to come out of her shell and become Top-dog, she's still in awe of the cat though.
How lovely, enjoy, can you do pics? Baldric that is one beautiful animal.
I soooo want a cat....but can't have a flap...glass sliding doors to the back and upvc at front...wouldn't feel comfortable if it couldn't come and go at will !

Thanks all for the posts! Murraymints you can keep cats indoors without them going out, but agree it is better to let them out if you can. Baldric, your doggie is stunning!

Thank you.

Brilliant, Sue - well done! :-)

Murray, you can put a cat-flap in UPVC - I know, we've got one :-)
Minty, you can get cat flaps for UPVC doors.
