How much Ibuprofen are you taking and how many times a day?
Exercises? bit early for those.
Are you sure it's only a pulled muscle and not a torn or damaged ligament?

Hope it gets better real soon. Don't put too much pressure on it though, especially when exercising.

400mg tab, 2 of those 3 times a day ish.....

its how long it should be taking for me to see some improvement, its my right shoulder so in constant movement, resting is near impossible :-)
Well, I would give it at least another week to settle and would ease up on the exercises.

Yes, it is difficult to rest a muscle like a shoulder muscle.

Sorry Soc - i spoke to the trainer at the gym about it, he thinks its a pulled muscle, its not painful enough to have torn a ligament apparently... :-)

i think i need to listen and rest, i keep going back to the gym......
Try this, it work very well and it come in different quantities, cheaper -

Sounds like a Rotator Cuff injury. I've recently suffered with this and the treatment advised was analgesia, light exercise ( to keep the joint mobile) and heat. I sympathise with you it took nearly 6 weeks for mine to resolve itself.
Question Author
the trainer said rotator cuff, i forgot that!

6 weeks!!!!!!!!

thanks soc, i've got tiger balm, and a hot water bottle im using as an ice pack/heat pack :-) the office stinks great

i think i shall give the gym/pool a miss this week and start back with light cardio next week
Another point is; if you use a computer a lot, the position of your arm when using the mouse and the repetitive movement when using the mouse (RSI), can exacerbate the symptoms.
Question Author
i suspected that, its always a lot worse after a day at work!
Ever tried using the 'mouse' with your left hand? Awkward at first but surprisingly quick to adapt.
Question Author
no but i'll give it a go, thanks :-)
