I pulled a muscle near my collar bone but got a bit frightened over the weekend when the pain moved around my ribs then up into my shoulder. NHS direct advise me to go to my Dr today to get it checked out which I did and she reckons its just a muscle pull. Anyhoo yesterday and today when I have eaten meals the pain in my shoulder has got much worse. Whats that all about?!

Are you getting any indigestion type symptoms as well?

Not now. Last week before I pulled the muscle I had indegestion for about 4 days. I think thats what it was as I have never had indegestion before
Could be a few things.

Pain can get referred to other areas of the body so could be from your collarbone problem.

I have a similar pain sometimes as my ribs tend to pop out of place. How did you hurt your muscle, could it have damaged something else as well?

Acid reflux and things like gallbladder problems can also cause wierd pain in the chest and shoulder, hence why I asked about eating.

I think I must have done it on the rowing machine at the gym. Although it didn't hurt at the time It's the only thing I can think that I have done. It's just weird that it hurts more when I eat.
My guess is gallbladder. Referred pain in the shoulder particularly when eating is a classic symptom.
